We truly cannot believe we have a 12 month old. As I have done every month, I went to grab the 12 month sticker out of the pouch and suddenly realized, wait, this is the last one! I looked through the stickers again almost to prove myself wrong, but much to my dismay I was not. Our little girl is growing so quickly and the months keep flying by. We will still do monthly photos but will have to come up with a new way of marking the months :)
At twelve months Emersyn is now drinking cows milk, and no longer nursing. It is truly bittersweet as I was so happy to make it the full year together with her and will always cherish those moments together. She is growing up faster than I could have imagined. She has been walking since 9 months, climbs the stairs, says "dada" "duck" "that" and "maaaa" which is her version of mama. :) She is eating all solids now and has been sleeping through the night pretty much since she was a few months old. She gives "real" hugs and kisses and her dad even taught her how to give a high five. Emersyn loves reading her books, plays for what seems like hours by herself, and devotedly follows her "best buddy" Millie, our family Border Collie around the house. She is still incredibly curious and social. She continues to be the welcoming committee to every passenger on our flights by waving and welcoming them on board. She greets me every morning and every day after work with the biggest smile and it reminds me what a blessing and gift she really is. Below are a few pics from 12 month pictures on the beach.
